This Wine tour will introduce you to young talented winemakers like Arianna Occhipinti who respects wine as if he were a person. A person that brings a world, a story, an atmosphere.
In the Cellar COS you will discover how wine was made 2000 years ago using the amphorae and techniques now in disuse.

Pick up by your English speaking driver and drive to Vittoria to visit the best wineries in the Area.
Azienda Agricola Arianna Occhipinti is a small organic winery spread on a 32 hectares of land, 25 of which are vineyards, planted exclusively with native Sicilian grapes variety: Frappato, Nero d’Avola, Moscato di Alessandria (Zibibbo), Albanello. The annual wine production is about 130,000 bottles. The wine production is entirely managed by Arianna and in the vineyards she perform 3/4 treatments per year, using only copper and sulfur for. She also use the “sovescio” technique (green manure), and leaves the wild Mediterranean vegetation, with the aim to preserve the biodiversity and have a natural oxygenation of the soil. Then Continue with a wine tour at Cos Winery. The winery decided to adopt the principles of biodynamic culture. This decision helped the owners find and keep a harmonious balance with nature. Fascinated by ancient cellar practices, COS decided to work with amphorae, clay jars that were used by the ancient Greeks. Then, enjoy lunch at the winery and finally, return to the hotel.
